3 Fultz Trades That Win the Sixers the East

Markelle Fultz is a stud NBA combo guard. Yes, I really believe that. Public perception has a way of counting people out. I’d be targeting him at his current value if I were an NBA GM. His ability to find players for easy buckets and get to any spot on the floor has been overshadowed by the play of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Philadelphia trading him is all about the organization and their current position. They have the league’s best center, Joel Embiid, and he’s having an MVP caliber season. Ben Simmons, a 6 foot 10 Herculean point guard, has dominated in big time games in 2019. The time is now. Here are three trades that can push the Sixers into the NBA finals.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Why does Cleveland do this? To not pay Tristan Thompson $17.5 million bones next year and to gain a young project combo guard with a clear knack for playmaking to play alongside Colin Sexton. We all know Dan Gilbert is going to get lucky again and get Zion - it would be awesome to give him a complete starting backcourt from day one in the NBA. Philadelphia lands a shooter and a back up rim protector for Joel and puts themselves in a great position going forward.

Orlando Magic

The Magic have been linked to rumors for months around them acquiring a point guard. Fultz could be the guy to pair with Aaron Gordon, Mo Bamba, and Jonathan Isaac. The entire league loves Vucevic, but maybe the Magic figure they can’t keep him and want to make room for Mo. After all, he has a song named after him. The Sixers get both of Brett Brown’s wishes in a rim protector (possible starting PF) and an elite wing defender.

Charlotte Hornets

The 76ers would also include multiple first round picks to make this happen. This is the ultimate win-now move knowing you can’t sign Kemba & Jimmy Butler. However, this would put the Sixers as clear favorites and could give them the league’s best starting lineup.

76ers Projected Starting Lineup: Kemba Walker, JJ Redick, Jimmy Butler, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid

MJ considers this trade because he’s worried about resigning Kemba in free agency for the max and wants to guarantee brighter days ahead. Unfortunately for Charlotte it may be time to blow it up…again.
